Practical tips for mechanical safety operation

1. How to prevent industrial accidents in metal thermal processing workshops?

The production characteristics of the metal thermal processing workshop are many production procedures, large lifting and transportation volume, high temperature, toxic gas and dust are easily generated in the production process, which deteriorate the working environment, and therefore are prone to industrial accidents. Therefore, the metal thermal processing workshop must take some effective safety measures:

1). Select furnace materials to prevent mixing of explosives. The input materials must be fully dried; the added alloy must be preheated.

2). Electric, pneumatic or hydraulic plugging mechanism or rotary forehearth should be used when molten metal is discharged.

3). Strict measures should be taken in the pit to prevent the infiltration of groundwater and groundwater.

4). The molten metal container must meet the manufacturing quality standards; the molten metal in the ladle must not be overfilled.

5). Forging hammers should be operated by manipulators or manipulators to prevent the oxide scale of hot forgings from flying out and hurting people; the operator and the pneumatic hammer driver's seat should be equipped with isolation shields to prevent burns and heat insulation.

6). Tools and workpieces must be preheated before being put into the heat treatment salt furnace. Railings or protective covers should be arranged around the quenching oil pool.

7). The welding site should be isolated or properly shielded, and the shielding material should not be metal.

In addition, the workshop should have a safe passage, the ground should be flat and not slippery, and ensure smooth flow. The workshop should have sufficient illumination, and the design of the workshop should be suitable for mechanical ventilation and natural ventilation. On the premise of not affecting production and transportation, each post in each process should be isolated from each other as much as possible. Equipment that is prone to unsafe factors should also be isolated when necessary, and safety railings or protective nets should be installed. Workers in metal thermal processing workshops must be equipped with necessary protective equipment such as safety helmets, protective glasses, and protective shoes.

2. What safety matters should steelmakers pay attention to?

The safety items that steel workers should pay attention to are:

1). It is forbidden to add wet raw materials, scrapped weapons, etc. into the furnace as scrap to avoid explosion. Molten steel and red slag shall not be poured into wet steel drums, slag ladle or wet ground.

2). In order to prevent splashing and explosion accidents during smelting, be careful not to add excessive oxidants and not to stir the molten steel violently.

3). Do not fill the molten steel ladle too full, and strictly abide by the operating regulations when lifting and transporting the ladle by truck, and take precautions against overturning accidents.

4). If the furnace is leaked, the package is leaked, the circulating water is interrupted or the water leaks in the furnace, the corresponding safety measures shall be taken immediately.

5). Labor protection equipment must be worn, and those who do not wear labor protection equipment are not allowed to work.

4. What safety matters should the caster pay attention to?

The safety matters that the caster should pay attention to are:

1). The casting place and the pit must be kept dry, and there must be no water to avoid splashing and hurting people.

2). All tools used such as tongs, fire sticks, hooks, etc. should be preheated.

3). The molten iron in the bag should not be too full. When carrying the bag, don't lift it or stop suddenly, but coordinate and cooperate.

4). Before casting, the weights of the upper and lower boxes of the sand mold should be pressed firmly, or clamped with screws, and the riser should be checked and the air passage should be opened.

5). Do not look at the riser from the front during casting, and bleed the air in time to prevent the gas explosion.

6). When casting, irrelevant persons are not allowed to approach. Wear protective goggles when looking at the freshly cast fire.

5. What safety matters should blacksmiths pay attention to?

The safety items that blacksmiths should pay attention to are:

1). When taking molds, punches, shim, etc. on the anvil, clamps must be used and hands are strictly prohibited.

2). In manual operation, the sledgehammer must cooperate well with each other. It is strictly forbidden to walk or work within 25m behind the sledgehammer.

3). When cutting the metal blank, pay attention to tapping to prevent the cut material from flying out and hurting people. The gripper's grip should not face the abdomen.

4). When the steam hammer is activated, it is not allowed to hit the empty hammer, not to measure the size of the work, and not to allow any part of the human body to enter the stroke of the hammer. When inspecting or repairing, the hammer must be fixed. Note that flammable materials are not allowed to be stored near the heating furnace.

6. What injuries may occur in welding production?

During the welding process, the welder must often be exposed to flammable and explosive gases, and sometimes work in high altitude, underwater, and small spaces; toxic gases, harmful dust, arc radiation, noise, high-frequency electromagnetic fields, etc. generated during welding are all harmful to the human body. Hao Cheng Xiao is harmed. Work-related accidents such as explosions, fires, burns, poisoning, electric shocks, and falling from height may occur at the welding site. Welders may also suffer various injuries during operation, causing occupational diseases such as blood, eyes, skin, and lungs. Welders are special operators who must undergo safety training and pass the examination before they are allowed to operate independently.
